Mozambique is located in southeastern Africa has a total population of 32.9 million. With a GDP growth of 4.1%, Mozambique has ample resources of arable land, water, and energy, as well as mineral resources and newly discovered offshore natural gas.
Additionally, the country features three deep seaports and a large potential labor pool. Despite a primarily fishery and agriculture-based economy, Mozambique's food and beverage, chemical manufacturing, aluminum, and oil industries are all growing.
Furthermore, the tourism sector is rapidly expanding. This strategic location is critical for the four neighbouring landlocked countries, which rely on Mozambique as a conduit to global markets. With agriculture employing around 70% of the population, it remains the country's primary economic sector, though extractives are also driving growth.
